I’ve tested quite a few cleaning products over the years. Things like vacuums, steam mops, scrub brushes, scrapers, all-purpose cleaners and many specialty cleaners for surfaces like wood, stainless, tile, mold, mildew, windows and more…just to name a few. Some cleaners have worked well so they’ve become a staple in my cleaning caddy; others were mediocre and […]
I have a friend who scored a great deal on Ugg Boots at a yard sale. They were her size and the exact color she was looking for. The only problem was that they were a little bit dirty and needed to be cleaned. She asked if I could do a little research to figure […]
Learning to condition and clean leather sofas has been on my to do list for a while. When we moved earlier this year, we found a fan-tastic deal on a leather couch way, waaay back in the clearance section of the furniture store. The leather looked perfect with the exception of a small scratch on the back (which no one can even see). The best part was that it reclined on both sides. Score!
Since we have two rowdy boys in the house, that couch takes a beating. I would like it to last long after those boys leave the house…so we can actually use those recliners. That’s why I’m doing my best to keep that leather sofa in good condition.
Do your kid’s shoes have a funky smell like no other? Maybe your own shoes stink? It happens to the best of us. But if you’ve ever wondered how to clean them, here’s 3 ways to clean stinky shoes.
Have you ever wondered how to clean flip flops? Has it even crossed your mind to clean them? As the summer season starts to wind down, you may want to think about cleaning your flip flops and sandals before packing them away for Fall and Winter.
Since the bottom of flip flops, sandals, and just about every shoe is covered with germs and dirt, cleaning them will keep your packing container clean and prevent the spread of disgusting gunk (see links at the bottom of this post). More importantly, you’ll feel like you have practically new shoes when you slip them on for the first time next Summer. That should save you money and keep clutter from taking over your house too!
