If you’ve been paying attention to the April schedule, then you know today’s task is to quick clean the kitchen. We deep cleaned the kitchen a few months ago and we’re going to deep clean it again very soon. But until then, let’s take a few minutes and focus on improving the kitchen.
First, clean your kitchen like usual. Clear the food. Wash the dishes. You know, normal clean up.
Then, set your timer for 5-15 minutes – whatever you have – and tackle one or two things from the following list:
- Remove anything that doesn’t belong in the kitchen (usually found on the counters)
- Declutter and straighten one drawer or cabinet
- Organize your pantry
- Deep clean one appliance (microwave, oven, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher)
- Wipe down your cabinet door fronts
- Scrub the kitchen floor
If you have other family members at home, feel free to get them involved. I’ve found that cleaning the kitchen isn’t so bad when my husband is filling me in on his day…it really helps pass the time!
