Don’t you just love to step into a nice clean shower with what appears to be a sparkling new shower liner? There’s something about that experience that just makes you feel like you’re getting cleaner than usual, right?
Cleaning a shower curtain is actually not that hard.
Put the liner in the washing machine with a small amount of detergent (or a cup of vinegar) and wash on the delicate cycle.
Easy right? Then why don’t we do it more often?
If you’re like me, the thought of actually taking the shower liner off the curtain rod and then hanging it back up is what prevents us from washing the liner on a regular basis. It’s just another step to add to our ongoing cleaning schedule. Perhaps that’s why I was so excited to find out how to clean a shower curtain in an “emergency” situation.
Well, I recently found out about this quick tip for preventing grime, mildew and soap scum build-up on the bottom of your shower curtain liner.
Rub baby oil on the bottom of a new or recently washed shower curtain liner. The baby oil will prevent soap scum from building up on the liner.
So easy, right? It’s definitely worth a try if it reduces the amount of times we have to remove the shower curtain and wash it!
How often do you wash your shower curtain liner?
