Is your email in-box overloaded with action items, FYI’s and junk? I’ve been working diligently the past few months to get…and KEEP my email under control. So far, it’s worked!
Here are 3 steps I’ve taken to organize my email:
First, I read Bit Literacy (there’s a free Kindle edition on Amazon). It really helped me think through how I’m organizing all the “bits and pieces” of info that’s flowing into my brain each day.
Then I started using GoodToDo. I’ve talked about how much I like this system before. But what I like most about it is the fact that I can forward and email to my to do list and get it out of my in-box!
Finally, I signed up for Unroll.me. I wrote about how Unroll.me works in detail over on i Dream of Clean. But the short version is that it keeps subscriptions & newsletters out of your in-box and sends you a compilation email once a day. That way you can focus on your important emails!
Those are just a few of the ways I’ve been tackling my email lately. I’m sure there are a ton more. But, I just thought I’d share in case it could help your overflowing email in-box.
As you organize your calendar and email for the upcoming week, take a little time to get your email under control. Then tell me all about in the comment section or on Facebook. I can’t wait to hear how organized you are!
