Every year around the Spring season my life seems to spin into a whirlwind. I attend an annual conference. I’m churning out more blog posts to hopefully encourage you to Spring Clean. I try to do a little Spring Cleaning myself. I’m usually doing something to prepare for Easter at church (last year I was an actress in our production). On top of that, I seem to get a ton of job offers this time of year. Of course, work is always good so I’m not complaining about that!
The thing is, I have a hard time saying “no” so I pretty much wear myself out trying to get it all done. I’m working on that!
When the weather is as beautiful as it is in the Spring, though, all I want to do is play outside with my boys!
So, what’s a girl to do?
Increase her productivity! That’s what.
If you have an iPad, you know how great it is to be able to slip it in your purse or bag and work any place, any time. But when you’re used to working on a computer…with a keyboard….the iPad takes some getting used to. That’s why I was beyond thrilled to be able to try out the ZAGGfolio for iPad 2. It’s a wireless keyboard, iPad stand, and case all-in-one. It’s like having a mini-laptop with you at all times, just without the mouse.
Uses for the ZAGGfolio
I used it at the blogging conference I recently attended instead of my laptop and it was such a blessing since I was also carrying around a 15 pound baby. I was able to put my little bambino in a sling, pull the lightweight ZAGGfolio out of my purse, pull up Evernote and take notes easily. It was so freeing to be able to focus on the content and my baby instead of finding a plug for my 100 year old heavy laptop. Okay, it’s not 100 years old…but fairly close!
The ZAGGfolio also comes in handy at meetings (you know, for those 3 jobs I mentioned earlier). It fits easily in my purse so I don’t have to worry about a laptop bag. This is especially nice since I would probably leave it with the sitter and show up to the meeting with a diaper bag!
But most importantly, I’m able to set up a little workstation outside during the Spring when I’m up against a deadline but want to let the boys play in the sun!
How do you stay productive in the Spring?
