If you’ve Spring Cleaning with us for a while, you know we’re all about implementing strategic habits into our daily routine. Simple daily habits make cleaning your home a cinch.
Well, it shouldn’t surprise you that a little ebook called Habit Stacking caught my eye recently. I’ve never heard it called habit stacking, but that’s exactly what we do each month.
Habit Stacking: 97 Small Changes that take 5 Minutes or Less describes how to create a simple routine that you can repeat on a daily basis. The author describes how setting up triggers (or mini-habits) can eliminate the stress of trying to change too many things at once.
Your goal is to simply focus on a single routine that takes 15-30 minutes to complete. Within this routine is a series of mini-habits. All you have to do is to create a checklist and follow it every single day.
He walks you through this process and gives tons of examples. Plus there are a few tools included that will keep you motivated and consistent.
All in all, it’s a short, inexpensive ebook that can get you in the groove of creating new, lasting habits.

Now on to our daily task…
Write down every single thing that you need to accomplish this week. Then schedule those things (but make sure they’re the RIGHT things) on your calendar. That way you’ll know WHEN you will accomplish those things on your to-do list.
It will be 5-15 minutes well spent!
Your assignment for today:
- Continue working on habit #5.
- Schedule your to do list on your calendar.
- Keep working on your cleaning schedule and keep up the great work!
