31 Days to Make Cleaning a Habit – Habit 23
Yesterday we talked about grouping similar items together. When we do this with kitchen supplies, cords, books, shoes, paperwork, etc. it can save us valuable time when cleaning.
By making it a habit to keep similar items together, we’ll always know that we have 12 measuring cups, 8 extension cords, 9 pairs of black shoes, or 5 boxes of envelopes. When we actually know what we own we’re able to make educated choices about our belongings. We can determine that they all need to stay in our home (and we can clean/dust them all) or we can find a way to eliminate some of the duplicates.
Either way we have a choice to keep or purge duplicates but at least we’ll know exactly what we have instead of wondering.
Do you have too many duplicate items in your home?
