I usually soak my vegetables in a bowl of water + vinegar. It looks like I haven’t been using enough vinegar, though. I still need to carefully check it – especially if it’s something like cauliflower. Good to know about the other options. It seems like you can do just about anything with baking soda and vinegar!

You can do separate bowls… I’m having two canisters which I’m changing every week or two… depends on how often am I using it and how dirty it becomes…. first is a water with vinegar- it has sour environment and is killing all mold and bacterias… and second is baking soda with water (1 tablespoon+1 litre water)- it has alkaline environment and is cleaning fruits from normal and oily chemicals and waxing. In each container I’m keeping fruits and vegs for at least 3 min and than just rinsing with water. This is the best way to be sure that they will be cleaned properly.
