A rug under a dining room table will always be susceptible to falling food, especially if kids are in the picture. But even if they’re not, even if a drop of food never hits the floor, you may want to look under your dining room rug. Then take a look under the living room rug. Then the entry way rug.

Dust and dirt easily settle between the floor and rug covering it. It’s quite obvious a mop needs to be brought into the picture if you have hardwood floors. It’s not as easy to see debris when a rug is covering carpet, though. Be assured, however, that there is dirt lurking beneath. So, next time you haul out the vacuum, make sure to use it on the rug and the carpet underneath the rug!
